Peacock Rug: A Case Study
Our PEACOCK pattern has been adapted in many ways including as shown above: stair treads, a runner and in a traditional rectangle. Strike offs are always required as yarn is dyed to order even when specifying yarns from our established color palette.
The sketching process is shown in the photography below. The first sketch developed the initial concept and scale using the client's architect rendered CAD drawings. CAD was required for this project to accommodate the complicated stairs in an historic New England home from the 1800's. The second sketch is the final, approved design.
The PEACOCK rug, which debuted in NYC at the ICFF Furniture Fair, has appeared in numerous publications including Metropolis Magazine where it was used as an example of what is or is not able to be copyright protected.
